It can be frustrating waiting for your house to sell. You want to move on and make the most of your retirement but everything has to remain on hold.
Parklands has devised a scheme to help make the sale of your home easier in what can be a difficult market.
With the Parklands 'Get Moving' scheme we can help you find a buyer for your house within 12-weeks and most importantly, at a realistic price that is agreed by you.
In conjunction with estate agents and you, we agree a selling price for your house, which becomes the guaranteed selling price. Your home is then put on the market at the guaranteed selling price. If a buyer places an offer below the agreed selling price and Parklands deems it as a reasonable offer, then we will make up the difference – ensuring that you get exactly what you originally budgeted for and enabling you to accurately plan ahead with your budget.
We organise for three valuations of your home from local estate agents. The estate agents are asked to value your home with the intention of selling within a 6-week period.
Once we have received the valuations, working with you, we agree a selling price for your house (the guaranteed selling price) and market the home with an agreed estate agent.
If within a 12-week period an offer is put forward below the agreed selling price and Parklands deems it as a reasonable offer*, Parklands will make up the difference, ensuring that you get exactly what you agree for your house originally.
The guaranteed selling price is held for 12-weeks after which time we'll review it in accordance with prevailing market conditions.
Your property can now be marketed with the knowledge that you will receive a guaranteed selling price on your property ensuring that you get exactly what you originally budgeted for and enabling you to accurately plan ahead with your budget.
What if I decide to opt out of the scheme?
You have the freedom to leave the scheme whenever you want to. Please be aware that signing up with an estate agent to sell your home is entirely separate matter and you should read through their contract carefully.
What if we're not attracting any viewings within the initial sales period?
Together, we will review the agreed selling price, and we'll consult with you whether you would be willing to reduce your asking price. You also have the option to opt out of the scheme at anytime.
What happens if after the 12 week initial sales periods has expired and no reasonable offer has been received?
Together, we will review the agreed selling price. At no cost to you we will organise for the original estate agent to carry out a formal review of your house and the prevailing market conditions. We will work with you to revise the agreed selling price, ensuring that you achieve an optimum price and an early sale.
*A reasonable offer is determined after consultation with the estate agent marketing the property and consideration of the prevailing local property market conditions
Get Moving Scheme is not available on dependant properties over £350,000
